After starting at NASA, John spent 5 years on SIA Board of Directors and chairing Homeland Security Advisory Group, leading to becoming a SIA Executive Committee. Following 9/11, John participated in Federal “Go Teams” to establish new guidelines and define new technologies for federal security. ReconaSense includes his 7th generation of Access Control technology, this time architected to dominate the future of physical security.


Clayton Brown

Founder, Vice President, Business Development

Key product visionary since 2013, bringing this integrated sensor platform to fruition following completion of dual degrees in Finance and Economics at Southern Methodist University. Clayton is a critical-minded analyst using technology to help align physical security with a data-driven future, who is familiar with machine-learning techniques and cutting-edge sensors.


Mitchell Crowsey

Senior Software Designer

Mitch was a member of one of the first neural network teams within Boeing very early in his career. Today he is a veteran of over 20 years in the security industry, an expert at molding the power of Mercury controllers into meaningful new benefits for his customers. He has also leveraged his experience in Artificial Intelligence towards building this powerful, transformative Intelligent Unified Platform called ReconaSense, where he is the chief architect. Mitch has a BBA in Computer Information Systems from University of North Texas as well as advanced coursework in Computer Science Engineering from Southern Methodist University.


David Dolmanet

Chief Financial Officer

David brings a quarter century of Finance, Accounting, and Operational experience across a broad spectrum of industries and company lifecycle stages. In his role, he provides executive leadership in areas of strategic direction, financial planning and analysis, customer success, logistics and supply chain management, and accounting and controls. Prior to joining Smarter Security, David was Managing Director of Financial Advisory Services at 9Gauge Partners where he managed service delivery teams for over 80 active clients.

Jeff has led ReconaSense sister company Smarter Security since 2002. He propelled the company into a consistent industry leader, recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America for six years. Under Jeff’s leadership, Smarter Security has become widely known for marketing the industry’s best technology backed by unsurpassed customer support. Jeff and his team are incredibly proud to secure many of the world’s most iconic buildings.


James Treybig


James Treybig founded Tandem Computers, a pioneering Silicon Valley manufacturer of fault tolerant computer systems which were marketed to the growing number of transaction processing customers who used them for ATMs, banks, stock exchanges and other similar needs. Under his leadership, Tandem delivered its first product in 1976, first issued public stock in 1977, and in 1980 was ranked by Inc. magazine as the fastest growing public company in America. When Jimmy retired in 1996, Tandem was a $2.3 billion company employing approximately 8,000 people worldwide.


Ken Eickmann, Lt. General


Lieutenant General Kenneth Eickmann has served in a number of leadership positions in the U.S. Air Force. He served as a commander at Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in Ohio. There he led the Air Force’s center of excellence for research, development and acquisition of aircraft, aeronautical equipment and munitions. General Eickmann also served as commander at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, the largest military and industrial complex in the Department of Defense. Today he serves on a number of boards and is Deputy Director, Center for Energy Security at University of Texas.


Steve Lindsey


Steve Lindsey, CPP, is a security and loss prevention industry expert. He developed his expertise serving in several Security and Loss Prevention roles during his 35-year career at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Steve started his career by leading multiple regions within the Wal-Mart Stores Division. He continued his career leading the Sam’s Club Loss Prevention Division, Wal-Mart Homeland Security, Wal-Mart Security Technology and Global Security Services, a division of Wal-Mart with over 300 team members.
